Terrabotics is a UK based Earth Observation and Remote Sensing data analytics company with a mission to shine a new light on energy, oil & gas, and metals supply chains with satellite earth observation, remote sensing, and advanced IoT geospatial data analytics.

We remotely map, measure, monitor, and ultimately help better manage the production and supply of the World's most vital natural resources. Through the power of planetary-scale measurements and data analytics we want to drive these industries to operate in a more socially responsible and environmentally sustainable way.

Our clients span major corporates, government bodies, NGO's, and intergovernmental organisations who care about improving supply chain transparency for natural resources such as energy, metals, forestry, and water.

We are looking for someone with an excellent eye for design and strong appreciation for User Experience, with a fluency in Javascript, HTML, and CSS applied to front-end web user interfaces such as analytical dashboards and web maps.

Critical Experience:

  1. A portfolio of previous work and/or self-run projects that you can show to us to demonstrate the level of your user interface development skills and user experience design empathy.

  2. Proven professional experience working within a software development team under Agile or similar practices. 

  3. You're experienced in working with and collaborating well with other developers in your team and performing code reviews, and merge requests

  4. You champion diligent version control, clean documentation, code reviews, and merge requests.

Technical Skills:

  1. [Vital] Solid core experience of Javascript in frameworks such as Angular and/or React for designing, developing and deploying performant front-end web applications which deliver excellent user experience.

  2. [Vital] Demonstrable experience in D3.js building front-end web dashboards. 

  3. [Ideal] Some practical experience of Openlayers, and/or Leaflet.js, or similar. 

  4. [Ideal] Some practical experience of back-end geospatial systems such as Postgres/PostGIS, Geoserver etc.

  5. [Bonus] Knowledge and experience of Kepler.gl - or least a strong enthusiasm to self-learn. 

  6. [Bonus] Knowledge of Uber H3 - or at least a strong enthusiasm to self-learn.

AGILE PROJECT MANAGER

The Agile Project Manager (APM) is responsible for planning, leading, organising, and motivating Agile project teams. You will likely work with a Product Engineering team and a Product Manager. 

 

The goals are to:

  • Achieve a high level of performance and quality, and

  • Deliver agile projects that provide exceptional business value to users

 

The APM may be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.

At a team-level:

  • Playing a consultative role to put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools, to improve team efficiency and effectiveness

  • Coaching members of the team as needed to optimise the efficiency of the product/project team

  • Designing, implementing, and organising day-to-day agile project execution such as back-log creation and management, target tracking and metric reporting.
